At the beginning of 2020, three directors embarked on a grand tour of Italy, asking young men and women from all over the country what their idea of the future was. Alice Rohrwacher, Francesco Munzi and Pietro Marcello travelled across the country, stopping both in the big cities – Milan, Genoa, Rome, Naples and Palermo – and in the countryside and small towns, meeting young people from schools and universities, professional courses, sports clubs, choirs, street demonstrations and workplaces. The testimonies collected form a picture of a country that does not listen or pay enough attention to young people, and devotes very few economic and organisational resources to them.
